Diversity and Equity Policy

The journal promotes the geographical, institutional and gender diversity of those who take part in it, as a condition of the plurality of the knowledge it publishes. It accepts manuscripts from authors of any country or institution and evaluates them on their merit, regardless of origin. Each author's institutional affiliation and country are recorded in the metadata of published articles, are visible on the journal's website and are deposited in Crossref, so that the composition of authorship can be publicly verified.

The journal promotes the equitable participation of women and men among its authors, reviewers and Editorial Board, and periodically reviews this composition, which is public in the Editorial Team section. Authors are not required to declare their gender, and no data of that nature plays any role in the evaluation of manuscripts. The journal does not discriminate on the basis of gender, origin, ethnicity, religion, disability or any other condition, either in the selection of manuscripts or in the composition of its teams. Manuscripts authored by Universidad del Pacífico follow the same evaluation process as all others, in accordance with the conflict of interest policy.
