Digital Preservation

The Revista científica ciencias de la salud preserves its content in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed preservation network that uses the open-source software LOCKSS, developed at Stanford University, and keeps copies of the published content securely among participating libraries. In addition, the journal participates in CLOCKSS, a dark archive that preserves an independent copy of the content and releases it publicly only if a trigger event occurs, such as the cessation of publication or the loss of access to the content by other means.

Articles have DOIs, which keeps links resolving in the event of changes of domain or platform. The published content is also available in the collections where the journal is indexed, including SciELO Paraguay and Redalyc.

Operational backup of the OJS platform is the responsibility of the Infrastructure and Services area of Universidad del Pacífico, which makes daily backups with a minimum history of one year.

Should the publication cease, Universidad del Pacífico would maintain access to the archive of already published content.
